Home Mătăsari is the place where artists manifest themselves through painting, installation, music, video projection! Following the recent illegal dismantling from Buzești area, followed by the civil society protests, Home Mătăsari defines itself as a manifest-active art space.

The frequent decisions taken by the authorities to demolish buildings with historical value, raises the issue of lost identity in the urban space in general, but also challenges the inhabitant to search for ways of adapting to the new environment.

At Home Mătăsari the artistic initiatives are launched with the purpose of reflecting and in the same time of offering alternatives of the urban realities, in which the house is located, to the disadvantage of a radical hostile discourse. In this context, the artist receives the function of mediation between the discourse of the neighborhood and the society and responsible authorities.
